FLORIDA, USA — Whether you’re voting for the first time, you haven’t voted in a while or you’re a familiar face at your local polling place, the deadline to vote in the upcoming presidential election is fast approaching.
Here at 10 Tampa Bay, we’ll provide you with the last day to register and how to do so if you haven’t already.
Voter Registration deadline
The deadline to vote ahead of the presidential election is Monday, October 7.
There are three different ways to register, according to Vote.Gov.
- Online
- Register by mail (Must be postmarked by Monday, October 7.)
- In-person
*To note: The deadline to return your absentee ballot for the Florida primary election is Tuesday, August 20 by 7 p.m.
Online Registration
You can register online at RegistertoVoteFlorida.gov.
Ensure you have your Florida driver's license or Florida ID card, its issue date and the last four digits of your Social Security Number.
Register by Mail
Complete a Florida Voter Registration Application and mail it to your local supervisor of elections office. You can find the printable form on the “Forms” page of the Florida Division of Elections website.
In Person
Walk into your local Supervisor of Elections Office for a registration form. You can also look up your local polling place on your local office’s website.
If you’re unsure of your registration status, you can find it on myFlorida.com.
For any general election, people who wish to vote must be registered to vote no later than 29 days before Election Day. Polls are open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Florida.
