Pinellas Park gas station owners busted for selling 'spice'

A two-month long investigation revealed that a Pinellas Park Citgo Gas Station was selling "Spice," the synthetic cannabinoid banned from public sale since 2013.
Ahmad Suid and Mohammad Suid were arrested on Friday by Pinellas Park Police Department on charges they sold synthetic cannabinoid or "Spice" out of their Pinellas Park Cittgo station.

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. -- A two-month long investigation revealed that a Pinellas Park Citgo Gas Station was selling "Spice," the synthetic cannabinoid banned from public sale since 2013.

The Pinellas Park Police Department Vice and Narcotics Section, Special Operations Section and Community Redevelopment Area Policing Unit were involved in the bust on Friday.

PPPD units obtained a search warrant for the convenience store located at 8787 66th Street North and arrested its two owners Mohammad Suid, 23, and Ahmad Suid, 29. Both men are from Tampa.

Officers were able to recover one pound of Spice that was individually packaged for sale.

Agents from the Florida Department of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco and Pinellas County Sheriff's Office assisted PPPD with the search warrant and seizure.

Ahmad Fathi Suid is charged with two counts of principal to the sale of a controlled substance, one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

Mohammad Fathi Suid is charged with one count of controlled substance with intent to sell, six counts of sale or delivery of controlled substance, six counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
