We’re happy to announce Newsome High School as our 10News School the Week powered by Duke Energy Florida.
The school is recognized for its academic achievements and for a culture of learning.
For the students, it’s more than just academics and athletics. They’re committed to helping their surrounding community year-round.
Groups like the Helping Others Today Club help the local Head Start group with a book collection, holiday presents and also mentoring the younger kids.
The JROTC collects toys for Operation Fallen Angel for local children, and also collect items for soldiers deployed overseas.
Student Government collects loose change in the spring for its Change for Change in which they find an area need and writes a check.
