New York police are mourning one of its own: a K9 officer named Angel.
Angel died after a battle with cancer. The department posted a photo on its Facebook page of Angel being taken in to be euthanized.
Angel was named for Detective Rafael Ramos after his line-of-duty death.
Her sister K9, Liu Liu -- named for Ramos' partner, Detective Wenjian Liu, who also died in the line-of-duty -- remains on duty.
Ramos and Liu were killed in a 2014 ambush, according to CBS in New York, who also said the suspect committed suicide.
