CONCORD, N.C. — It’s NASCAR race day at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and we’ve got all the information you need to get ready for tonight's Coca-Cola 600.
START TIME: Retired Gen. George Casey Jr., chairman of the USO, will instruct drivers to start their engines at 6:09 p.m. ET tonight, followed by Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin waving the green flag at 6:18 p.m.
RACE DISTANCE: The Coca-Cola 600, NASCAR's longest race by distance, is 400 laps around the 1.5-mile Charlotte Motor Speedway for a total of 600 miles.
NATIONAL ANTHEM/FLYOVER: The 82nd Airborne Division’s All American Chorus from Fort Bragg will sing the national anthem, followed by a flyover from four F-15s.
TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: FOX will broadcast the race on TV and has a pre-race show beginning at 5:30 ET. The Performance Racing Network (PRN) and Sirius/XM will broadcast the race on the radio.
LIVE STREAMING: FOX is offering a live stream through its FOX Sports Go app.
WEATHER: Iffy. There's a chance of rain in the area due to a tropical system moving up the Carolina coast on Sunday.
LAST TIME: Joey Logano has won the last two Charlotte races -- in October during the Chase for the Sprint Cup and last week at the Sprint All-Star Race. And one year ago, Carl Edwards won the Coke 600 on a fuel mileage gamble that paid off.
