A man accused of hitting a St. Louis County Police officer with his prosthetic arm is outraged. He wants the arm back, but police won't return it yet, according to KSDK.

St. Louis County Police were called to the Jim Butler Chevrolet dealership in Fenton on May 7 after a dispute between a customer named Joshua Stockinger and a dealership employee.

Police discovered Stockinger had a warrant for a felony, but when they tried to arrest him, they said he hit an officer in the face. Stockinger said he was just defending himself.

He claimed he was trying to leave the dealership when the officer grabbed him using excessive force.

Stockinger said the prosthetic arm was attached to him when he hit the officer in defense.

The St. Louis County Police Department said his arm is being processed as evidence since it was used as a weapon. However, Stockinger said it shouldn't take weeks for them to examine it. He hopes his prosthetic arm is returned as soon as possible.

He initially lost his arm in a car accident in 2009.
