TAMPA, Fla. — A 43-year-old Lakeland man was sentenced to more than 41 years behind bars for child pornography Tuesday, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
Edwin Santiago pleaded guilty in April to attempted production and possession of child porn. He was sentenced for 41 years and eight months.
According to court documents, Santiago tried to create two sex abuse videos with an 8-year-old child. He also distributed videos online with people with whom he was discussing child exploitation, the documents said.
During online chats, Santiago said he wanted to watch others abuse the child and asked for volunteers to teach the child how to have sex, the documents said. He also negotiated prices for the child's virginity.
He had more than 100 images and 100 videos of child porn on his phone, the documents said.
