LAND O' LAKES, Fla. — There's luck in the air in Tampa Bay.

As the Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots continue to grow, one lucky Land O' Lakes winner has reason to celebrate. A Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold at the Publix on Land O' Lakes Boulevard.

The $1 million prize means the person matched all five numbers and not the Powerball.

The winning numbers from the Powerball drawing on Saturday, March 23, were: 6-23-25-34-51 and Powerball 3.

No one won the jackpot during Saturday's drawing which means the grand prize is still up for grabs. The next drawing for the estimated $800 million Powerball jackpot is set for 10:59 p.m. Monday, March 25. People can buy tickets up until 10 p.m. to be eligible.

No one has won the Powerball jackpot since Jan. 1, making for 35 consecutive drawings without a big winner of the game. Likewise, the last Mega Millions jackpot winner was on Dec. 8.

Lottery prizes have been larger than the current jackpots, but it's the first time both games have offered top prizes of $800 million or more since the games were created decades ago.

The current Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $1.1 billion. The next Mega Millions drawing is at 11 p.m. Tuesday, March 26.

“There’s always an air of excitement around the country when the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots soar simultaneously,” Gretchen Corbin, president of the Georgia Lottery Corporation and lead director of the Mega Millions Consortium, said.

For Mega Millions, the odds of matching all six numbers are 1 in 302.6 million. Powerball has slightly better odds of 1 in 292.2 million.
