Unclaimed $44M Florida lottery ticket set to expire in December

The person has until midnight on Dec. 11 to claim their prize.

TAMPA, Fla. — Time is running out for one very lucky person to claim their $44 million jackpot.

Someone bought a winning "Florida Lotto" ticket back in June at a Sunoco Express on Orange Blossom Trail in Kissimmee. But so far, no one has claimed it, a news release from the Florida Lottery explains.

The winning "Florida Lotto" numbers for the June 14 drawing were: 9,13,15,46,51 and 52.

The person has until midnight on Dec. 11 to claim their prize.

"Players who may have purchased a FLORIDA LOTTO ticket at this retail location are encouraged to check their tickets from the June 14 drawing," leaders with the agency said in the release.

If it's not claimed, the Florida Lottery says 80 percent of the money will go into the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund. The remaining 20 percent will go back into the prize pool.

The jackpot prize has to be claimed at the Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee, but any retailer can validate the winning ticket beforehand.

Players can get more information by calling the Lottery's Customer Service Department at 850-487-7787 or visiting the Florida Lottery’s website at www.flalottery.com.
