COLUMBIA, S.C. — A potential millionaire may be missing out if a winning Powerball ticket is not redeemed by Thursday, April 11. The winning ticket was sold in October 2023 for the October 14, 2023, Powerball drawing at the Turbeville Exxon LLC, 7585 Myrtle Beach Hwy. in Gable, a small town in Clarendon County near the I-95 interchange.
The ticket matched all five numbers -- 14, 16, 42, 48, 64 -- but missed the Powerball number, 14.
The winning ticket must be claimed in person at the Columbia Claims Center, 1309 Assembly St., before 4 p.m. Thursday.
If the prize is not claimed, the $1 million winnings will be deposited in the Education Lottery Account to support educational programs in South Carolina. Net proceeds from every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery are returned to the state in the form of funding for education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
