Indian Rocks Beach, Florida -- Pinellas Sheriff's deputies have identified the woman whose body was found on Indian Rocks Beach Wednesday night as 62-year-old Sherry Lefler of Redington Shores.
During their investigation into her death, they learned the Indian Shores Police Department, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the United States Coast Guard had been searching the area for a swimmer who had reportedly gone missing at approximately 5:38 p.m.
Witnesses reported seeing either a male or female swimming but struggling. FWC and USCG did not locate anyone in the area.
Her death does not appear suspicious in nature.
