TAMPA, Fla. — Future and some current students at the University of South Florida (USF) will have exclusive perks once the school's on-campus football field is built and hosts games, according to a news release.
On Wednesday, USF Athletics released a brand-new stadium rendering, set to open in 2027. The newest look at the coming stadium gives a special look at the structure's west side.
USF says all seats on that side of the stadium will be exclusively for students, providing "a unique experience."
That side of the stadium will have a dedicated entrance, restrooms and concessions, all reserved for USF students.
The west side of the USF football stadium will be able to seat 8,000 students and will be equipped with the "Iconic Bull U" logo. That part of the stadium will also have a landing for an in-game DJ to entertain USF fans.
“The passion of the student body is what makes college sports so special,” Michael Kelly, vice president for Athletics said in a statement. “On the heels of record student demand for the upcoming game against Miami, we are thrilled to offer a glimpse of the future South Florida student experience on game day."
"Many of the amenities included on the west side of the stadium were based on student feedback and we thank them for wanting to be a part of this exciting future we are creating together!” he continued.
USF's marching band will also get its exclusive section of the stadium. This will be on the north side and field level and will be the "Herd of Thunder's" game day headquarters. This gives the marching band members a special area on the lower level "for easy access to the field for pregame and halftime performances."

Season ticket holders aren't left out in the stadium design. The south side of the stadium will be considered the home side. Reserved seats for season ticket holders will be under the shade of the press box tower during daytime games, the release said.
The new stadium's groundbreaking is set for Oct. 18.
