Tampa, Florida -- Tampa police have released a sketch in a robbery and sexual assault, believing the same man might have committed both crimes.
The first case happened at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, at 2707 13th Street N., Apartment A, Tampa. A man entered the residence through the unlocked front door with two of the victims inside, police said. He pointed a gun and demanded money. Two additional victims entered the home and the suspect turned and pointed the gun to them. He took money and fled.
The suspect was described as a black man, 25 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-10, with short, black hair and weighing 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a baggy white T-shirt adn baggy black athletic shorts.
The second case occurred at 7:52 a.m. Tuesday at East Columbus Drive and Interstate 275. The armed suspect forced his way into the victim's home, bound the victim's hands and committed a sexual assault, police said. The suspect fled the home and the victim was able to bang on her wall to get her neighbor's attention. The neighbor called police.
The suspect has a similar description, but he was a black bandana, dark shirt and jeans.
