TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Police Department responded to a report of a body found in the water Friday afternoon at Cypress Point Park.
Preliminary details reveal a man went swimming for about an hour before someone found his body and called 911.
Police responded to the incident at 3:59 p.m. Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and pulled the man out of the water.
No other information has been released at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
