Christmas is on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and New Year's is the following Wednesday. The Jewish holiday of Hanukkah also begins on Dec. 25 and Kwanzaa is on Dec. 26.
Here's a county-by-county guide of when the break is:
Citrus County
Schools will be closed Dec. 21-Jan. 7. Jan. 6-7 are teacher workdays so students do not have to report, according to the district's calendar.
Hernando County
Schools will be closed Dec. 21-Jan. 5. Dec. 20 is an early dismissal day, and Jan 6 is a professional day, so students do not have to go to school, according to the district's calendar.
Hillsborough County
Schools will be closed Dec. 23-Jan 5. On Monday, Jan. 6, students will be released early, according to the district's calendar.
Manatee County
Schools will be closed Dec. 23-Jan 5, according to the district's calendar.
Pasco County
Schools will be closed Dec. 23-Jan 5, according to the district's calendar.
Pinellas County
Schools will be closed Dec. 23-Jan 5, according to the district's calendar.
Polk County
Schools will be closed Dec. 23-Jan 5. Jan. 5-7 are teacher workdays so students do not have class, according to the district's calendar.
