Gibsonton, Florida -- A barricaded man was talked out of his house late Monday after he drew the attention of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's SWAT team.
Deputies responded to an apartment in the 10000 block of Indiana Street around 1:27 p.m. for a domestic disturbance because David Hartshorn was reportedly threatening to kill the victim and was kicking and hitting the door with an object trying to get inside.
Before deputies got there, Hartshorn fled into an apartment and barricaded himself inside.
It took SWAT negotiators approximately 8 hours to get Hartshorn in custody. He was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault w/Firearm, Obstructing or Opposing an Officer w/o Violence, Battery (DV), Culpable Negligence Expose to Injury, Obstructing or Opposing an Officer w/o Violence.
