Don't be surprised to see Angelina Jolie or Bryan Cranston in Lakeland soon.
The two are making a Disney movie called "The One and Only Ivan," and part of it will be made in Polk County, our partners at The Lakeland Ledger say.
City of Lakeland's public information officer Kevin Cok said the filming would start next week and would only last three days.
The movie blends live action and computer animation to tell the story of a gorilla and a baby elephant trying to escape from the Big Top Mall where they live.
The Southgate Shopping Center is one of the sites that was being scouted for the movie, the Ledger said.
It would not be the first time the shopping center was on the big screen; it was featured in the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp classic "Edward Scissorhands."
