St. Petersburg gets new HIV/AIDS treatment clinic

The clinic will provide medical care and services to HIV/AIDS patients regardless of their insurance or ability to pay.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The AIDS Healthcare Foundation(AHF) has opened a state-of-the-art HIV/AIDS clinic in south St. Petersburg.

The clinic will provide medical care and services to HIV/AIDS patients regardless of their insurance or ability to pay.

The new AHF Healthcare Center will be located next to the AHF Pharmacy and the Out of the Closet thrift store. It benefits HIV/AIDS patients in the region and is a free HIV testing site.

“We are helping shift the trajectory of the local HIV epidemic,” said Michael Kahane, AHF Southern Bureau Chief. “With the opening of our new AHF Healthcare Center today, we’re taking another important step to help address and reduce Florida’s growing HIV/AIDS epidemic.”
