CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — A South Florida police sergeant died on Friday after succumbing to complications of COVID-19, Coral Springs Police Department announced.
Sergeant Patrick Madison, 43, was a 15-year member of the police department.
"Pat was a tremendous leader whose passion for his job was only surpassed by his commitment to his community and the citizens he served," the police department wrote.
Madison leaves behind his son and fiance.
