Tampa, Florida -- Tampa Police detectives are asking for the community's help identifying the person who shot and killed an armed security guard at a local night club.
Police say the shooting occurred just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning at Supa D's on E. Skagway Avenue. When officers arrived, they found Kenyatha Walker, 35, lying down outside the club with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Detectives say the shooting took place when the club was about to close for the night and they believe there was a large crowd of patrons exiting the club who may have seen the shooter.
Detectives are urging those witnesses to come forward with any information they may have that could identify the suspect. Anonymous tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000 in cash.
