ORLANDO, Fla. -- Construction is coming to a close on SeaWorld's new river raft ride.
When Infinity Falls opens later this summer, it'll feature the world's tallest drop in a river raft ride, SeaWorld said in a release. The park said the ride brings the thrills of white-water rafting to the theme park, where guests ride on 8-passenger circular rafts through a rainforest environment.
The ride is set to have drops and turns, interactive water elements and a vertical lift to transport the rafts to the top of the ride's 40-foot drop in just over five seconds.
Infinity Falls is set to be the centerpiece of a new themed area of the park that is planned to resemble a base camp for explorers and scientists. After the ride, guests can explore the camp and take part in interactive experiences that provide some education on the world's freshwater ecosystems.
SeaWorld said in a release it plans to announce an opening date for Infinity Falls in the coming weeks.
