SARASOTA, Fla. — A local Purple Alert has been issued for a man in Sarasota who is believed to be endangered.
Paul Downs, 83, was last seen around 6 p.m. on Saturday walking away from BOLD Lofts in the area of 2nd Street and Adelia Avenue, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Downs is said to be about 6 feet, 3 inches tall with blue eyes and was last seen wearing a blue Nike hat, white shirt, gray plaid shorts and black shoes.
His most recent photo is pictured, but Sarasota police report that he is much thinner and has less hair now.
Sarasota Police ask anyone with information on Downs' whereabouts to call 911 or the emergency line at 941-316-1199.
