SIESTA KEY, Fla. -- A cast member of Florida-set reality MTV reality series Siesta Key was arrested Wednesday and charged with possession of marijuana.
Paul Bayne Apostolides, 26, also known as Pauly Paul, was arrested near his home for possessing more than 20 grams of marijuana, the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office said. In Florida, possessing more than 20 grams is a felony.
The Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported that Apostolides also had a suspended license and expired vehicle tag on a black Mercedes at the scene. He also had an active warrant for failure to appear in court for a previous public drinking charge.
Apostolides was released after posting $1,550 bond for the marijuana and contempt of court charges.
Apostolides is the cousin of Siesta Key star, Alex Kompothecras, and had numerous appearances on the show filmed around the beach town and at the home of 1-800-Ask-Gary founder Gary Kompothecras.
The aspiring DJ and rapper was also arrested last year for a previous contempt of court charge for a possession of marijuana charge.
