SARASOTA, Fla. — Sarasota Police arrested a 66-year-old man in connection with a deadly shooting that happened Saturday afternoon.
Richard Minor allegedly shot an adult victim near 900 John Ringling Causeway just after 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries, according to a news release.
Minor is facing charges including murder and aggravated assault with a firearm and was booked into the Sarasota County Jail.
It is unclear what happened leading up to the shooting, and police are still investigating.
