SARASOTA, Fla. — Police said they are searching for a man they say is responsible for killing another man during an overnight shooting in Sarasota.
According to officers, the shooting happened just after 1 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Dixie Avenue and 24th Street. One person was found dead after they had been shot.
Police said they believe 54-year-old Kevin Holloway is the shooter. He is wanted on multiple charges including murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and two counts of aggravated assault.
He was last seen driving a 2011 Nissan Altima with Florida tag No. CC1601.
While police said the public is not in danger from this "isolated" shooting, they noted Holloway is considered "armed and dangerous."
Anyone who sees him should not approach him and instead call 911 right away.
