SARASOTA, Fla. — Avelo Airlines is making more additions to the Tampa Bay area as it returns seasonal service to the Philadelphia area from Sarasota and Bradenton.
Beginning Nov. 23, 2024, travelers can fly to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Delaware via Wilmington Airport (ILG) from Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ).
“After a successful inaugural season, we are thrilled to see the return of nonstop service between Philadelphia/Wilmington, DE, and Sarasota/Bradenton, FL," SRQ President and CEO Rick Piccolo said in a statement. "Our passengers have shared their enjoyment with flying Avelo on this convenient, reliable, nonstop route.”
Philadelphia is also rejoining the airline's nonstop flights to Southern Connecticut's Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN).
“We’re excited to continue growth in the Sarasota / Bradenton region and bring back our nonstop, seasonal route to Philadelphia," Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy said in a statement. "Along with the return of Philadelphia and our successful New Haven route, we love showcasing Avelo’s low fares, travel-friendly convenience and industry-leading reliability to travelers in southwest Florida.
"This nonstop service will also make enjoying Sarasota / Bradenton’s famous beaches and high-flying attractions a fast and seamless journey for Delaware Valley travelers."
This addition comes as Avelo expands its services across the Tampa Bay area. The Lakeland International Airport announced its partnership with Avelo in June, flying travelers to eight new places in the airline's largest expansion in company history.
Flights are available to and from Philadelphia/Delaware on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Reservations can be made at AveloAir.com.
