Salvation Army of Tampa needs help filling its kettles

Donations are $40K behind, with time running out and weather keeping shoppers indoors.

The weather this week is expected to put a major damper on the Salvation Army of Tampa's efforts to raise money for the red kettle campaign.

They're expecting to lose about two days worth of donations, which are already about $40,000 behind where they were this time last year.

Salvation Army volunteers are going to be out this weekend hoping to make up the difference with Matching Saturday.

All donations up to $16,000 are going to be matched by community donors.

They could also use some volunteers to collect.

You can help make up the potential deficit by going online to donate at the Salvation Army website.
