POLK COUNTY, Fla. — A man was killed Tuesday afternoon after a crash in Polk County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
It happened on Interlochen Boulevard just after 3:30 p.m.
A 24-year-old Winter Haven man lost control of his Ford Mustang "for an unknown reason" before crashing into a parked Chevy Silverado with a trailer, troopers explained in a press release. The truck was parked on the 1100 block of Interlochen Boulevard and did not have anyone inside.
The Mustang's driver, who was said to be "unrestrained," died at the scene of the crash.
