WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — The need for hot sauce could be what came between one Taco Bell customer and a car that drove through the building, according to Winter Haven police.
Officers said Emmanuel Akowuah,77, and his wife were parked in a spot in front of the restaurant before he drove into the building.
Akowuah told police he put the car into reverse but then back into drive and it jumped the curb into the building.
Police said a customer who was in the restaurant where the car crashed into the building had just left that area to get hot sauce.
There were no injuries in the crash, officers said.
