HAINES CITY, Fla. — A Haines City police officer was involved in a crash Friday evening with a "possible impaired driver," the police department said.
It happened around 7 p.m. in the area of U.S. Highway 27 and Old Polk City Road.
The officer was transported to a nearby hospital for minor injuries. Drivers are asked to avoid the area while investigators respond.
