HAINES CITY, Fla. — Authorities responded to a call about a school bus crash that injured one person on Tuesday morning.

According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened just after 8 a.m. on Highway 544 and Bannon Island Road in Haines City. Police were first to respond to the crash before the sheriff's office took over.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash. As a result, the road was shut down for a medical helicopter.

Footage from Sky10 shows the bus on the side of the road with damage to the front side with a panel coming off of the school bus. A spokesperson from the sheriff's office said it doesn't look like there were any children on board at the time of the crash.

Down the road from the crash, video shows a black pickup truck on the side of the road with law enforcement cars next to it. The truck looks heavily damaged with one of the doors off, the front of the truck crushed and the airbags deployed.

A spokesperson said their dispatch screen shows only those two involved.

Sky10 video also shows a white SUV on the side of the road nearby with damage, but it is unclear what the cause was or if it was involved in the same crash.
