The driver of a Dodge Ram truck is in serious condition after crashing into a Mulberry funeral home Monday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Deputies said the truck was traveling west on State Road 60 when the driver lost control approaching the intersection at 12th Avenue due to a medical emergency. The truck entered the parking lot of Siegler Funeral Home at 1300 E. SR-60 and struck the building, finally stopping inside the lobby of the funeral home.
The crash caused roughly $40,000 of damage to the building. No one inside the funeral home was injured, according the FHP.
