A crash in Bartow left two dead after they were ejected from the car.

BARTOW, Fla. — A man and woman died after they crashed a Porsche after leaving a bar in Bartow on Saturday night.

Michael Price, 66, and Johnnie Levin, 54, left the "Wine Bar" lounge in Bartow to take a Porsche for a "joyride"  on U.S. Highway 98 around 11:30 p.m., according to Polk County Sheriff's deputies.

They crashed after driving without the headlights on and rolled multiple times near the intersection with Smith Lane. Both of them were ejected and the Porsche was broken into several pieces, according to the witness who called 911.

Deputies said excessive speed appears to be a factor, and the investigation is ongoing.
