BARTOW, Fla. — A 51-year-old woman was killed early Wednesday morning at the intersection of North Broadway Avenue and State Route 60 in Bartow, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 6:20 a.m. after a 65-year-old driver of a Chevy Trax crashed into the woman's bicycle while trying to turn onto SR-60, FHP said in a statement.
The Chevy driver was unhurt in the crash, authorities said.
