BARTOW, Fla. — Police in Bartow have made an arrest in connection to a shooting that sent one person to the hospital Tuesday evening.
Tommy Almoza, 21, and Ezekiel Burch, 18, were arrested and charged with second-degree attempted murder, the Bartow Police Department said in a news release.
At around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, police officers responded to a report of shots being fired near West Ethelene Street and North Floral Avenue. Officers who arrived found an individual suffering from a gunshot wound in his arm, the police department said.
He was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center for treatment. During the investigation Tuesday evening, police were able to identify four people believed to be involved in the shooting, according to a news release.
Several weapons were also confiscated during the investigation.
