WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — A pilot was hospitalized with critical injuries after an airplane glider crashed Saturday afternoon into a Winter Haven neighborhood.
It happened around 1:50 p.m. along Avenue K SE across from Winter Haven High School.
Photos show a small white glider lying upside down across the road with its front end damaged.
No one on the ground was injured.
There is no word yet on what caused the crash.
