CLEARWATER, Fla. — Multiple people were possibly exposed to chemicals Sunday afternoon at the Whole Foods store at Countryside Mall.
The Clearwater Fire and Rescue Department responded shortly after 5 p.m. to the mall off U.S. Highway 19 after a report that two cleaning chemicals were mixed, according to a news release.
The store was evacuated and crews assessed people for potential exposure.
Four people were taken to area hospitals as a precaution while two other people were evaluated at the scene but denied additional treatment.
