CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The family of an elderly couple shot to death last month is offering a $25,000 reward for information about the shooting.
David and Mina Swan, both in their 80s, were found dead in their Flushing Avenue home a month ago. Police said they had been shot to death.
Police said it was not a random crime, and police Chief Daniel Slaughter said the evidence shows "that the offender came to kill."
Police have not announced any suspects since the Swans were found Sept. 29.
Detectives are asking anyone with information in the case to call a tip line at (727) 562-4141. The $25,000 reward being offered by the family of the Swans is in addition to the Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County reward of $3,000 for a total of $28,000.
Lt. Mike Walek of the Clearwater Police Department said investigators have interviewed more than 50 people and followed up on more than 100 leads.
"Someone, somewhere knows who killed this couple, Walek said. "This family deserves answers."
Walek said he was hopeful the reward will prompt someone "to do the right thing."
