CLEARWATER, Fla. — Several residents and businesses near North Clearwater Beach may be experiencing low or no water pressure after a nearby water main was damaged on Wednesday.
In a news release, the city of Clearwater explains that city contractors were working along Poinsettia Avenue to install a water line stop between Somerset Street to Juanita Way.
The work reportedly caused damage to a 12-inch water main that serves the North Clearwater Beach area.
City officials say crews from Clearwater Public Utilities are assessing the damage to determine how the break happened so they can begin working on necessary repairs.
A precautionary boil water notice is being evaluated based on the potential impacts of the repairs on water pressure.
