ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A large tree branch from an oak tree pinned a woman down after it fell on her in St. Petersburg.
St. Petersburg Police said at 6 a.m. on Saturday, the large branch fell and hit two houses near 15th Avenue South. When a woman went outside her house to check on it, a second larger branch fell on top of her and pinned her to the sidewalk.
Officers were able to get her out from under the branch and she was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries to her legs.
The street is shut down between 30th and 31st Street to remove the fallen tree.
