CLEARWATER, Fla. — A 16-year-old is dead after a shooting occurred Tuesday afternoon in Clearwater, authorities say.
At around 4:13 p.m., officers received a call regarding a shooting from the 1200 block of Engman Street, the Clearwater Police Department said in a media alert.
The teen was taken to Morton Plant Hospital after the shooting happened, but later died due to his injuries, police say.
Investigators are continuing to talk to witnesses to determine what led up to the shooting.
