ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A bicyclist is dead after a crash at the intersection of 5th Avenue North and 49th Street North, St. Petersburg police said.
Officers responded to the scene at 6:11 a.m. Tuesday and found the bicyclist, who was a man in his 60s, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.
Police say he was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
Authorities tell 10 Tampa Bay the driver stayed at the scene of the crash and is cooperating with the investigation.
The investigation is still ongoing.
