ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Police arrested a man Wednesday morning following what's believed to be a domestic-related shooting, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Jacob Merrett, 35, faces a charge of attempted first-degree murder.
Police say officers responded around 2 a.m. to a home in the area of 64th Avenue South and 6th Street South for a call about a man who was shot inside. Merrett lived at the house, while the man who was shot was known to the alleged gunman, the department said.
The man who was shot is being treated at the hospital.
