PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — An early morning crash left three hospitalized after police say the drivers were under the influence.
It happened at 3 a.m. when a Jeep and Hyundai collided after the Hyundai tried to make a U-turn on Park Boulevard near 40th Street.
Pinellas Park police said the three people in the Hyundai have non-life-threatening but serious injuries and the three people in the Jeep were uninjured.
The driver of the Jeep, Terry Antonio Thimpson-Ortega, was arrested and charged with three counts of driving under the influence involving serious bodily injury.
Alcohol was a factor for both of the drivers involved, according to police. Charges for the driver of the Hyundai are pending.
