The 13-year-old was placed into custody on Sunday and faces charges with written threats to kill or conduct a mass shooting, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
The teenage boy sent the messages to another student about conducting a shooting at Osceola Middle School, the sheriff's office said. Deputies say that during the conversation, the teen talked about another student who previously harassed him.
