CLEARWATER, Fla. — A person is seriously hurt after a hit-and-run crash occurred Wednesday evening in Clearwater, police say.
The collision happened around 7:52 p.m. on North Myrtle Avenue at Blanche B. Littlejohn Trail, the Clearwater Police Department said in a media alert.
The person was on a motorcycle when they were hit, authorities say. They were then taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with serious injuries.
The other car involved in the crash reportedly drove away from the scene. Police are now searching for a gray SUV.

As a result of the crash, all lanes of Myrtle Avenue are closed as authorities continue to investigate.
