Orlando police officer arrested for DUI in Pinellas County

The officer reportedly refused to give a breath sample or perform a field sobriety test.

SEMINOLE, Fla. — Deputies arrested an Orlando Police Department officer for drunk driving overnight Sunday, authorities said.

Cesar Hernandez Castillo, 39, faces a charge of driving under the influence, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they spotted Hernandez Castillo driving his Chevrolet Tahoe SUV over a raised median just after 1 a.m. Sunday in the area of Park Boulevard and 86th Lane. After being pulled over, Hernandez Castillo smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot and glassy eyes and poor balance, the sheriff's office said.

Hernandez Castillo reportedly refused to give a breath sample or perform a field sobriety test.

He was booked in the Pinellas County Jail.
