PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — The Pinellas Park Fire Department says a man who reportedly fell into a manhole on Monday morning is known to spend time in the city's sewers.
Police were dispatched around 9 a.m. to 66th Street North near 84th Avenue North in Pinellas Park after receiving reports that a man fell through a manhole opening into a sewage drain.
Crews from the Pinellas Park Public Works Department reportedly spoke with the man, but no one was found after the fire department completed a search.
First responders later said the man is known for spending time in sewers throughout the area. Pinellas Park Fire Chief Rob Angell called him "a person that frequents the drainage areas of Pinellas Park."
