ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. — A man died after being pulled from the Gulf of Mexico Wednesday night at St. Pete Beach, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded around 8 p.m. to 4700 Gulf Boulevard to reports that a man was floating in the water.
Bystanders pulled the man out of the water before deputies began performing life-saving measures. The man was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing.
