LARGO, Fla. — Police say a woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a car while crossing the road Friday morning.
The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. in the area of Rosery Road and Missouri Avenue.
Officers say the woman was walking her bike across Missouri Avenue, located north of the crosswalk, when she was struck by an oncoming car.
She was transported to a local hospital, where she is in critical condition.
Northbound Missouri Avenue will be shut down at Rosery Road for the next few hours while the department's traffic homicide unit investigates.
